Wedding Photography at St Audries Park, Somerset

Freddie & Olivia

I’m so lucky to be a Somerset wedding photographer as Somerset has some simply stunning wedding venues.  One such wedding venue is St Audries Park.  This picture-perfect manor house is set in 100 acres of serene and tranquil deer park.

Its beauty hits you as soon as you turn onto the winding driveway and make your way through the parkland to catch your first glimpse of its dramatic Gothic entrance of the private Manor House, from where you can enjoy panoramic views that stretch across the rolling Quantock Hills and as far as the Bristol Channel.

St Audries Park are licensed to hold civil ceremonies in their Victorian orangery.  A favourite with Somerset wedding photographers, as this glass structure is bathed in natural light that we can play with to create even more beautiful images.

For those looking for a traditional church ceremony, St Etheldreda’s Church is a stroll away from the main house at the top of the St Audries Park Estate.

Elegant canapes and drinks receptions take place outside in the beautifully manicured gardens or in the Main House.  With exclusive use, your guests can really explore the rooms of the house such as The Great Hall with its double-height vaulted ceiling and minstrel’s gallery it has a majestic ‘Harry Potter meets Game of Thrones’ feel about it.

The Library houses an ornate solid-oak hand-carved dining table perfect for displaying photographs or as an activity area to keep younger guests entertained.

The gilded Drawing Room has its own baby grand piano as well as a famously ornate ceiling known as the ‘Burst of Angels’.  Its beautiful bay window enjoys views of the orangery and is the perfect location to display your wedding cake.

The Banqueting Hall is most used for elegant wedding breakfasts.  It can seat up to 130 guests for a true fine-dining experience overlooking the rose garden and deer park beyond.  With white walls, a feature fireplace, chandeliered ceilings and ceiling-to-floor windows, it really is a stunning space for a luxurious wedding celebration.

St Audries has two bars, The Cocktail Bar for the daytime is there to ensure you and your guests are kept refreshed throughout the day.   Whilst the Champagne Bar is adjacent to the disco for your evening party.  Add to that an LED starlit dancefloor and a DJ included in your booking and you have everything you need for an epic evening wedding party.
